Gospel of the day: Luke 6:36-38

A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke
You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate. Stop judging others, and you will not be judged. Stop criticizing others, or it will all come back on you. If you forgive others, you will be forgiven. If you give, you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full measure, pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, and running over. Whatever measure you use in giving - large or small - it will be used to measure what is given back to you."
The Gospel of the Lord.
Reflection
The gospel today reminds us of the golden rule, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” It is telling us to be merciful because God Himself is compassionate. It can be done by not judging and doing any harm to others. Let us be sensitive, be generous, and forgiving. If we notice something wrong with a person, we should give our opinion appropriately. We don't know what are they going through so let us put ourselves in their shoes and be compassionate. If we want us to be treated in a nice way, be nice also to others. Whatever we are giving are the things that will be given back to us. The more we are generous, the more we receive the Kingdom of God. Be kind always.
